San Teodoro (OT)



The Municipality of San Teodoro is located in the north east of Sardinia, a few kilometers from the port and airport of Olbia, covers over 104 square kilometers and is now one of the tourist among the most famous and popular Island.
San Teodoro thanks to the beauty and uniqueness of its coast and its natural environment has been for years the jewel of the north east coast of Sardinia.
A lush and varied Mediterranean melts at a stretch of coastline featuring granite cliffs carved by the sea and wind, play forms, which sometimes seem to come from the hands of a skilled sculptor.
Comfortable and well equipped beaches of white sand is open and alternate, some smaller, others larger, and degraded down to let soak a crystal clear sea that takes on color and shades ranging from bright green to blue small intestine.
In this context of rare natural beauty, lives a large community of pink flamingos that found in the lagoon of San Teodoro their natural habitat.
There are many hiking trails and feasible for different types and interest, such as Marine Protected Area with Tavolara Island, the gardens of Punta Molara ponytail and Puntaldia, or inland, the massive Monte Nieddu.

SIGHTS
The coast offers plenty of small beaches protected by picturesque granite cliffs and surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation and fragrant. In some of these creeks solitary nature is fun to carve and shape the stone monuments of fantastic shapes and bizarre. In
zona di Montipitrosu, nella località Punta Molara, si trova il "Giardino della macchia mediterranea", un'area di interesse botanico, geologico (grandi rocce tafonate) e paesaggistico.
San Teodoro non è solo mare, ha infatti zone umide di grande interesse, come il grande stagno, ricco di pesce pregiato e popolato da un'avifauna ed ittifauna numerosa e svariata.
Molto belli e interessanti gli stagni minori di Ghjlgolu, La Pipara, Brandinchi, l'Isuledda ecc.
Ma San Teodoro è anche campagna, colline pittoresche popolate di vecchi stazzi e, infine montagna: il Monte Nieddu, il grande massiccio granitico che chiude a sud la Gallura, con Punta Magghjóri che raggiunge i 970 m.
